Despite increasing awareness of the need for gender parity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, the gender gap remains significant. This article explores the impact of digital literacy programs on reducing gender disparities in STEM education and careers. We conducted a longitudinal study on young women aged 12-18 from underserved communities in the United States, examining how exposure to digital tools, coding platforms, and technology workshops influences their interest in STEM subjects. Our findings indicate a positive correlation between digital literacy and an increased likelihood of pursuing STEM education and careers. The study highlights that early intervention and mentorship are crucial in breaking down the barriers that deter young women from entering these fields. The research concludes with policy recommendations for incorporating digital literacy programs in school curricula and the importance of female role models in STEM.
