Abstract

It often to observe that the absolute-open-flow potential of a fractured gas well calculated by test data is smaller than the well actual test production rate. This paper probes the phenomenon by single well model simulation in fluvial depositional gas reservoir. The major finds are that the impermeable barriers are the main reasons which causes it, and the more narrow the channel sand is, the more possible it occurrence. This character can also exist in natural fracture reservoir when the formation permeability anisotropic is serious.
