Abstract

This paper reviews well test study for a reservoir with non-Nnewtonian fluid flow from three aspects: sort of reservoir with non-Newtonian fluid flow, the mathematical model and test data interpretation method. The present state and future trend of research are pointed out. It is best to combine composite reservoir of the triplicate region, in which transition zone additional resistance force in discontinuity locations. The existed problems in well test study for a reservoir with non-Newtonian fluid flow are presented and the future research is predicted.
