Abstract

Electro-Magnetic Read Out Device is specially designed for drill stem test operations which adopts low frequency electromagnetic wave principle to transmit formation pressure & temperature data in real time from down-hole memory pressure gauge to the shuttle on the top of test valve and then transmits it to the surface computer through wire-line. During the well shut-in, wire-line is run in the hole with shuttle and seated on the NOGO of receiver, and the build up pressure data is transferred for well interpretation controlled by computer software. It saves the unnecessary shut-in time, improves well test operation efficiency and ensures to get the whole required stratum well test data by using EMROD on site.
